Getting Started
What is Dart Starter?
Dart Starter is a browser-based darts training and games platform built for pub league players. It includes practice routines, full match simulations like Career Mode, scoring tools such as the Live Scorer, checkout references and community leaderboards — all playable straight from your browser.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Everything runs in your browser on phone, tablet or desktop. If you want one-tap access, add Dart Starter to your home screen from your browser menu and it behaves like an app.
Does it cost anything to play?
No. Every game and tool on Dart Starter is playable without payment — there's no subscription and no paywall.
Which game should I start with?
Depends what you're after. Practising with a real board in front of you? Start with a checkout routine or a doubles drill. Fancy a match? Career Mode takes you from the bottom division all the way to Q-School. Scoring a real game down the pub? That's the Live Scorer.
Accounts & Saves
Do I need an account?
No — most games work without one. Signing in unlocks cloud saves for Career Mode, community leaderboards and syncing your progress across devices. Just tap the 🎯 Sign In button in the top corner of any page.
Will I lose my progress if I clear my browser or switch phones?
Games save to your device's browser storage, so clearing browsing data or moving to a new phone will lose local saves. If you sign in, your Career Mode progress is backed up to the cloud and follows you to any device — worth doing before a deep run at the title.
Can I play on more than one device?
Yes. Sign in and your Career Mode cloud save travels with you — start a season on your phone at the pub and carry on at home. Games without cloud saves keep separate progress on each device.
How do I delete my account or data?
Email dartstarteradmin@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and it'll be removed along with your saved data.
Games & Scoring
How does Career Mode work?
You start in the bottom division of a five-division pyramid and play full 501 matches to climb the table. Along the way there's the County Cup, rivalries, home and away fixtures, 32 achievements and season objectives — with Q-School waiting at the top for players good enough to reach it.
How do the AI opponents work?
Opponents are modelled on realistic averages for their level, so they behave like real players — they miss doubles, leave awkward numbers, bust, and go through hot and cold spells. No robot 180s every visit.
Can I use Dart Starter to score a real match?
Yes — that's exactly what the Live Scorer is for. Enter scores dart-by-dart or with the keypad, undo mistakes, and get first-nine averages, checkout percentages and full match stats as you play.
How do the leaderboards work?
When you're signed in, results from supported modes post to the community leaderboards under your display name, so you can see how your best runs stack up against players across the country.
Everything Else
Does it work offline?
Pages you've visited are cached, so most games keep working on a patchy pub connection. Anything that talks to the community — leaderboards, cloud saves, signing in — needs an internet connection.
I've found a bug or I've got an idea — where do I send it?
Email dartstarteradmin@gmail.com. Player feedback directly shapes what gets built next on Dart Starter.
