How to Play
Around the Board is one of the oldest, simplest darts routines there is: work your way through every number from 1 to 20 in strict order, then finish on the bullseye to complete the round. After each throw, record whether it landed on the number you were aiming for or missed, so your hit-and-miss record builds up as you go.
Why It Helps Your Game
Because you're forced to aim at every single number on the board in turn, Around the Board is one of the few routines that stops you avoiding the numbers you're genuinely weak at: there's nowhere to hide when 5 or 12 comes round. Tracking hits and misses across a full lap gives you an honest, numbers-based picture of your single-number accuracy, which is exactly the foundation everything else in darts (scoring, doubles, finishing) is built on.
